About the Role

The Program Manager position at VG Systems LLC is a critical role that supports the company's proposed effort with the USDA Forest Service. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for leading and managing correspondence operations, project planning, compliance initiatives, and strategic program activities. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with Federal regulations and operational requirements, making this a challenging and rewarding opportunity for the right candidate.

In this role, you will be working closely with federal organizations, applying your knowledge of Federal Records Management, FOIA, FACA, and Section 508 regulations to drive success. Your experience in leading correspondence operations across federal tracking systems will be essential in this position, as you will be overseeing daily correspondence intake, tracking, and closure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background, with expertise in developing and managing project plans, preparing progress reports, and identifying critical project milestones and dependencies. What You Will Do

  • Develop and manage the Project Management Plan (PMP) with detailed processes and schedules
  • Prepare and submit Monthly Progress Reports and Annual Summary Reports
  • Oversee daily correspondence intake, tracking, and closure
  • Ensure compliance with technical project management for correspondence systems
  • Identify and manage critical project milestones and dependencies
  • Support strategic initiatives with analytical and documentation efforts
  • Draft and present executive briefing materials and facilitate key meetings
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for correspondence processes
  • Collaborate with federal agencies to drive success
  • Analyze and report on project performance metrics

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a related field
  • 10+ years of experience providing business services to Federal organizations
  • Expertise in Federal Records Management, FOIA, FACA, and Section 508 regulations
  • Experience in leading correspondence operations across Federal tracking systems
  • Strong project management skills, with expertise in developing and managing project plans
  • PMP certification preferred, Lean Six Sigma a plus
  • Ability to lead complex initiatives and collaborate effectively in a virtual environment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a natural resource agency
  • Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and procedures
  • Experience with project management tools and software
  • Certification in a related field, such as Agile or Scrum
