About the Role

The Project Cost Consultant role at Turner & Townsend is a critical position that requires a unique blend of analytical, communication, and presentation skills. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting a prestigious technology client's rapidly expanding data center infrastructure program. Your expertise in cost management and project controls will be essential in influencing project health and risk mitigation strategies.

The role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be expected to provide expert advice on cost management and project controls, as well as identify and mitigate potential risks to the project.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and manage project budgets and cost forecasts
  • Analyze and report on project costs, including variance analysis and trend analysis
  • Provide expert advice on cost management and project controls
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to the project
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and contractors
  • Present project updates and reports to senior management and clients
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and identify potential issues

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in the construction industry, including at least 4 years in a cost-focused project controls role
  • Experience working on large, multi-project programs
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and cost control tools (e.g., eBuilder, Procore, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Experience working on data center construction projects (desirable)
