About the Role
The Project Cost Controls Manager is a critical position at SOLV Energy, responsible for overseeing project cost controls across the organization. This role works closely with the Project Controls Director, Operations Team, and Financial Planning and Analysis Department to establish and manage processes that monitor, report, and control project costs. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of project management principles, financial analysis, and data-driven decision making.As a key member of the project controls team, the Project Cost Controls Manager will play a vital role in driving process improvements, implementing predictive analytics models, and providing data-driven insights to inform business decisions. This is a remote or hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in Canada, with regular in-office presence in one of our offices.

What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain cost tracking and reporting systems to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Oversee the budget mapping process, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accuracy across the department
- Utilize project management software and financial tools to analyze project costs, budgets, productivity, and forecasts
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather cost data and provide insights into cost trends
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements through data analysis
- Assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act
- Coordinate, facilitate, and participate in monthly forecast meetings, and deliver Monthly Reporting package
- Build data models to assist pre-construction, and estimating teams leading to improved budgets, and estimates
- Implement an earned value management system to improve project cost management and identify business risks early
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in project cost management or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Excel and project management tools
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing data-driven solutions
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Experience with project management software and financial tools
Nice to Have
- Experience with predictive analytics models and data visualization tools
- Certification in project management or a related field
- Experience working in the energy or renewable energy sector
