Job Description

About the Role

As a Project Designer at Zipdev, you will be responsible for managing design plans for new construction and renovation projects, specializing in Educational Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E). Your day-to-day tasks will involve creating comprehensive designs, presenting design concepts, sourcing materials, and collaborating with clients and stakeholders. You will be part of the Project Management & Design Department, working closely with a team of professionals who share a passion for innovative design solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Create comprehensive designs for educational projects, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Present design concepts to clients and stakeholders, ensuring that their needs are met
  • Source materials and collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely project delivery
  • Utilize specialized software, such as AutoCAD, Giza 2020 / CAP, and CET Designer, to produce CAD drawings and 3D visuals
  • Collaborate with the project management team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Conduct site visits to ensure that projects are implemented according to design specifications
  • Provide technical support and training to clients on the use and maintenance of educational furniture and equipment
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to improve design solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the services provided

What We Are Looking For

  • 2-4 years of industry experience in commercial project design, preferably in educational furniture and equipment
  • Strong spatial creativity and technical CAD skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Giza 2020 / CAP, and CET Designer
  • Experience working with furniture and fixture design
  • Strong knowledge of interior design and custom furniture solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on international projects, preferably in Latin America
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles and their application in educational furniture and equipment
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools
  • Certification in interior design or a related field
