About the Role
The Project Manager role at Diversified is a vital position that oversees the lifecycle of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. This role requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, project management skills, and leadership abilities. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing project stakeholders, communicating effectively with team members, and ensuring the timely completion of projects.The day-to-day activities of the Project Manager will involve coordinating with various teams, including engineering, CAD, and programming, to ensure that projects are progressing as planned. This will also involve managing deliverables, overseeing the completion of projects, and ensuring that all aspects of the project are of high quality.
What You Will Do
- Manage the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction of projects throughout their entire lifecycle
- Oversee and perform project management functions, including project planning, execution, and monitoring
- Manage project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and external partners
- Coordinate with engineering, CAD, and programming teams to ensure project deliverables are met
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
- Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project goals are met
- Manage project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards
What We Are Looking For
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- At least 3 years of experience as a project manager in commercial construction trades and settings
- Familiarity with audio/video systems installations and low voltage electrical projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Supervisory and people skills, with experience managing teams and stakeholders
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political, and people-related problems
- Experience with project management tools and software, including scheduling and budgeting software
- PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (desired)
- AVIXA CTS certification (desired)
Nice to Have
- Experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum
- Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools, such as CAD or programming languages
- Experience with project portfolio management, including managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Certification in a relevant field, such as project management or construction management
