Project Manager

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a matrixed organization, where project team members are not dedicated to a single project. You will be expected to build and manage project schedules, reconcile project financial forecasts, and identify and mitigate project risks. Your ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team will be essential to your success in this role.

What You Will Do

• Lead IT projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources as needed
• Build and manage project schedules using MS Project/Project Server
• Reconcile project financial forecasts and investigate variances between forecast and actual costs
• Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and assumptions
• Prepare twice-monthly project status reports for each assigned project
• Meet regularly with project team members, business sponsors, stakeholders, and portfolio managers
• Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned

What We Are Looking For

• 8-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT projects
• Strong technical knowledge of software applications, mobile and web technologies, and system integrations
• Experience with effort-driven project planning techniques in MS Project
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent prioritization and time management skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
• Experience with project financial management, including budgeting and forecasting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks

Nice to Have

• Experience with Agile project management methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud-based project management tools, such as Asana or Trello
• Certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2
• Experience working in a matrixed organization, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork
