About the Role
The Project Manager II role at Alight Solutions is a key position that entails leading large-scale projects for enterprise clients. As a Project Manager II, you will be responsible for designing, building, and executing initiatives that deliver strategic value to clients. The Project Manager II will report to a senior manager and will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and oversee the execution of complex, cross-functional strategic client initiatives
- Champion and utilize best-of-breed technology for all work performed
- Drive innovation, optimize business processes and workflows, and deliver exceptional business value through effective program execution
- Design and manage project execution, identifying and resolving risk and adapting as needed to ensure success
- Anticipate when change may be needed and position recommendations appropriately
- Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders on project progress, offering viable solutions and opportunities as needed
- Drive continuous improvement in program management across the client project portfolio
- Manage the successful execution of multiple large-scale, complex client projects
- Independently manage risk associated with client projects and develop and oversee risk mitigation strategies
- Communicate complex ideas, anticipating objections and persuading others to adopt an alternative point of view, often at senior levels of leadership
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years of relevant work experience
- Proven expertise in leading cross-functional programs and projects in support of strategic client initiatives
- Deep expertise in project management
- Skilled in leading meetings, setting goals, prioritizing tasks, defining roles, resolving conflicts, and driving project progress
- Significant experience in driving results and proven history of navigating through downstream impacts
- Experience facilitating project progress through compelling listening, influencing, presentation, and communication skills
- Dynamic and adaptable with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet and SFDC
- Certification in project management, such as PMP or Agile
- Experience working in a remote or flexible work environment
