About the Role
WeVote is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead our Political Data Collection team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the collection, management, and analysis of political data. This role is crucial in helping WeVote achieve its goal of providing a complete voting experience in 8 minutes, including the download of our app, the WeVote Ballot Guide.The Project Manager will work closely with the team to identify tasks that fit each member's skill level, review work product, and propose strategies for improving efficiency. You will also be responsible for supporting and tracking team members' OKRs and Key Results, as well as providing brief reports on the status of key projects.
WeVote is a 100% remote organization, and this role can be done from anywhere in the US. We are looking for someone who is committed to strengthening American Democracy and is willing to work with and support other volunteers.
What You Will Do
- Run weekly Agile meetings for your team of Political Data Managers
- Facilitate communication within the team and with other WeVote teams, including Community Outreach, Marketing Strategy, and Analytics & Ads
- Work with individuals on the team to find tasks that fit each team member's skill level
- Review work product from the team and propose strategies for improving efficiency
- Support and track all team members' OKRs and Key Results
- Train team members unfamiliar with OKRs
- Follow up with contributors as their deadlines approach, adjust schedules, and communicate changes to everyone else affected by delays
- Provide brief reports in meetings via email and in our team newsletter about the status of key projects
What We Are Looking For
- At least 1-2 hours of availability each week during our core team hours (9 a.m.
- 6 p.m. US PT)
- Commitment to strengthening American Democracy
- Willingness to work with and support other volunteers
- Currently located in the US and able to work from anywhere
- Experience with project management tools, such as Adjust and Excel
- Strong communication and team management skills
