Job Description
About the Role
As a Field Property Adjuster at Allstate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to policyholders. Your primary focus will be on conducting on-site inspections, investigating coverage, preparing estimates, and settling claims promptly and efficiently. You will also handle virtual claims across the country, utilizing various platforms and software such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration. Your expertise will be particularly valuable in handling water losses, ensuring that customers receive the highest level of support and resolution for these specific claims. You will be part of a team dedicated to delivering outstanding customer experiences and will work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless claim handling.What You Will Do
- Conduct on-site inspections to assess damage and determine coverage
- Prepare estimates using Xactimate and other relevant software
- Settle claims promptly and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Handle virtual claims across the country, leveraging various platforms and software
- Investigate property claims, performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and third-party carriers
- Negotiate claims settlements, incorporating tactics for handling challenging situations
- Utilize multiple tools, including estimate tools and settlement platforms, to get the job done
- Protect the company financially by executing policies and maintaining accurate records
- Travel to customers' homes as part of the job requirements
What We Are Looking For
- 2-3 years of experience as an outside adjuster
- Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for estimating
- Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims effectively
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality work
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements
- Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on either a one to two-story roof

- Previous experience with water losses and claims handling
- Knowledge of insurance policies and regulations
- Certification in a relevant field, such as claims adjusting
- Experience working with customers in a fast-paced environment
