About the Role

The Field Property Adjuster role at Allstate is a critical component of the company's claims handling process. As a key representative of the company, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to policyholders, investigating claims, and efficiently resolving issues. What You Will Do

  • Conduct on-site inspections of properties to assess damage and determine coverage
  • Prepare and deliver estimates for repairs and settlements
  • Handle virtual claims across the country, utilizing various platforms and software
  • Investigate claims, interpreting policies and determining coverage
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and third-party carriers to resolve claims efficiently
  • Negotiate claims settlements in accordance with legal and business standards
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to solve complex problems and expedite claims settlements
  • Maintain detailed records of claims and settlements, ensuring timely and accurate documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in claims handling and estimation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to share knowledge and improve processes
  • Provide exceptional customer service, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions

What We Are Looking For

  • 2 years of experience as an outside adjuster, with a proven track record of success
  • Proficiency in Xactimate and other relevant software for estimating
  • Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims effectively
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality work
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements
  • Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on a one to two-story roof
  • Residency within the specified location is mandatory for this role
