About the Role

As a Field Property Adjuster at Allstate, you'll play a critical role in providing exceptional service to policyholders. Your primary responsibility will involve traveling to customer sites to conduct on-site inspections, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, and settle claims promptly and efficiently. You'll also handle virtual claims countrywide, leveraging various platforms and software such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration.

The role of a Field Property Adjuster is multifaceted, requiring a unique blend of technical, communication, and problem-solving skills. You'll be the face of Allstate, interacting with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve claims and provide support. Your expertise will be particularly focused on water losses, ensuring customers receive the highest level of support and resolution for these specific claims.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct on-site inspections to assess property damage and determine coverage
  • Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly and efficiently
  • Handle virtual claims countrywide, utilizing various platforms and software
  • Investigate property claims, performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve claims
  • Utilize estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to get the job done
  • Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, and claimants
  • Protect the company financially by executing policies and maintaining accurate records
  • Travel to customer sites, handling a 50-pound ladder and accessing up to a 6/12 pitch on roofs
  • Leverage critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately and expedite claims settlements

What We Are Looking For

  • 2-3 years of experience as an outside adjuster, preferably with proficiency in Xactimate and other relevant software
  • Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately and expedite claims settlements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to travel to customer sites and handle virtual claims countrywide effectively
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality work
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements
  • Residency within 30 miles of the Gadsen/Anniston, AL area
  • Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on roofs

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ClaimsX Video Collaboration and other claims handling software
  • Knowledge of insurance policies and procedures
  • Certification in claims adjusting or a related field
