## About the Role As a Property Adjuster - Field Estimating at Allstate, you will embark on a challenging and rewarding journey, providing exceptional service to policyholders. Your primary responsibility will involve traveling to customers' homes to conduct on-site inspections, investigating coverage, preparing estimates, and settling claims promptly and efficiently. The role of a Property Adjuster is multifaceted, requiring a unique blend of technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for handling virtual claims countrywide, leveraging various platforms and software such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration. Your expertise will be particularly focused on water losses, ensuring customers receive the highest level of support and resolution for these specific claims.

## What You Will Do - Conduct on-site inspections of properties to assess damage and determine coverage.

  • Prepare detailed estimates of damages using Xactimate and other relevant software.
  • Investigate claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies.
  • Communicate effectively with customers through phone, emails, and video chats to guide them through the claims process.
  • Evaluate and negotiate claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.
  • Utilize multiple tools and platforms to manage claims efficiently, including estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all claim activities in the claims system.
  • Travel to customers' homes as required, accessing rooftops and handling a 50-pound ladder when necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless claim handling and resolution.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and company policies to continuously improve claim handling skills.
## What We Are Looking For - 2 years' previous experience as an outside adjuster, highly desired.
  • Proficiency in using Xactimate and other relevant software for estimating.
  • Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately and expedite claims settlements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims countrywide effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
  • Residency in Northern Milwaukee Metro to Northeast Wisconsin for this role.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as part of the job requirements.
  • Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on a one to two-story roof.
## Nice to Have - Experience with ClaimsX Video Collaboration and other virtual claim handling platforms.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and materials to better assess damages.
  • Certification in claims adjusting, such as CPCU or AIC, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
