About the Role

The role of a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is multifaceted, requiring a deep understanding of mental health diagnosis, treatment, and management. You will have the autonomy to determine the frequency and duration of patient visits, as well as the type of therapy or treatment required. Your expertise will be essential in providing medication management, individual psychotherapy, family therapy, and group therapy, as needed.

What You Will Do

• Provide high-quality mental health care services to patients in a supportive outpatient environment
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care
• Customize treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each individual patient
• Provide medication management, individual psychotherapy, family therapy, and group therapy, as needed
• Determine the frequency and duration of patient visits, as well as the type of therapy or treatment required
• Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Stay current with the latest developments and advancements in mental health care, attending conferences and workshops as necessary

What We Are Looking For

• Current licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the United States
• Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health care, preferably in an outpatient setting
• Strong clinical skills, with the ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems

• Experience working in a telehealth environment, providing remote mental health care services to patients
• Certification in a specialized area of mental health care, such as addiction or trauma
