About the Role
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Lavender, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centric mental health services to clients in West Virginia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve conducting initial evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing care to patients via tele-psychiatric visits. You'll work collaboratively with a team of experienced psychiatric nurse practitioners, leveraging your expertise to drive better patient outcomes.Lavender is a nurse-founded and led organization, and as such, prioritizes the well-being and autonomy of its nursing staff. You'll have the flexibility to build your own schedule within the company's operating hours, which span from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. What You Will Do
- Conduct initial evaluations and collaboratively develop treatment plans with clients for medication, therapy, or a combination of both
- Proactively follow up with clients at a minimum on a monthly basis to assess the efficacy of recommended interventions and ongoing care until treatment goals are achieved
- Provide various modalities of talk therapy, as preferred by Lavender's clientele
- Utilize Excel to manage patient data, track progress, and streamline care plans
- Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records, ensuring seamless communication with the broader healthcare team
- Stay current with the latest developments in psychiatric nursing, incorporating best practices into your daily work
- Engage in ongoing professional development, leveraging Lavender's ANCC-accredited continuing education programs and fellowship opportunities
- Collaborate with the Lavender team to drive business growth, improve patient outcomes, and advance the company's mission
- Participate in regular team meetings, contributing to the development of new initiatives and strategies
- Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring a patient-centric approach to care
What We Are Looking For
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
- Active West Virginia Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License
- ANCC Board Certification
- 2+ years of experience working in adult mental health
- Strong assessment skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities, with a focus on patient-centered care
- Ambitious, client-centric work ethic, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services
- Ability to work independently, with a high degree of self-direction and motivation
- Proficiency in Excel, with experience managing patient data and care plans
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the Lavender team
