About the Role
The Public Sector Major Account Executive role at Samsara is a unique opportunity to drive revenue growth in government entities and make a real-world impact. As a key member of the Majors sales team, you will be responsible for developing executive-level relationships within strategic, named accounts and owning customer engagements end-to-end. With the ability to work remotely, this role offers the flexibility to manage your time and workload effectively.The Public Sector Major Account Executive role is critical to Samsara's success, as it enables the company to expand its reach and influence in the government sector. By building strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers, you will be able to identify new opportunities for growth and drive revenue expansion.
As part of a recently public company, you will have the autonomy and support to make an impact as Samsara continues to build for the long term. With a strong focus on customer success, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that customers are receiving the best possible service and support.
What You Will Do
- Develop Executive-Level relationships within strategic, named accounts
- Own customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification to close
- Demonstrate excellent solution-based sales process in complex sales campaigns
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team)
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify opportunities for growth and expansion
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement tailored solutions for customers
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to identify new opportunities for growth
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Samsara's products and services
- Build and maintain a strong network of relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a full-cycle, closing sales role
- 5+ years of experience working with line of business stakeholders in SLED/Government entities
- Proven track record of consistent quota over-achievement in complex accounts and $200k+ ARR transactions
- Experience handling and owning enterprise deal sizes and executive city/county relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of the public sector and government entities
- Ability to build genuine relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a remote environment and manage time effectively
