## About the Role The Public Sector Strategic Account Executive plays a critical role in driving Gitlab's growth in the UK public sector. This professional will serve as the primary point of contact for prospects and customers, orchestrating successful partnerships and direct engagement to align with government digital transformation initiatives. Day-to-day, this role entails developing and executing multi-year account strategies, building C-level relationships, and driving platform adoption through centers of excellence.

As part of Gitlab's team, the Public Sector Strategic Account Executive will be at the forefront of driving digital transformation in the public sector, working closely with government institutions and private sector partners to implement scalable solutions.

## What You Will Do - Lead GitLab platform enterprise sales across a diverse public sector portfolio - Develop and execute multi-year account strategies using MEDDPICC methodology - Build C-level relationships across government and private sector institutions - Drive platform adoption through centers of excellence - Manage complex procurement processes across government/public sector frameworks - Create sector-specific value propositions and business cases - Build and execute strategic territory plans across public sector segments - Create scalable prospecting and account development strategies - Implement repeatable sector plays and reference programs - Manage resource allocation across a complex account portfolio - Drive territory growth through new logo acquisition and expansion - Develop territory-specific partner ecosystems

## What We Are Looking For - Proven UK public sector software sales experience - Deep understanding of public sector digital transformation initiatives - Experience with government framework procurement - Multi-stakeholder engagement in complex organizations - DevSecOps platform or similar complex technology sales experience - Understanding of complementary technologies - MEDDPICC methodology mastery - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

## Nice to Have - Experience with Adjust and Excel - Knowledge of cloud provider partnerships (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Experience with managed service provider success - Familiarity with Gitlab's products and services
