About the Role
The QA Engineer position at Rapid Finance is a critical component of our software development team, responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with developers, business analysts, and end-users to identify and prioritize testing needs, develop test scenarios, and execute tests. You will also provide technical support to end-users and lead stakeholder demonstration sessions. What You Will Do
- Perform functional, regression, integration, sanity, and ad-hoc testing of software applications
- Analyze business system requirements and develop test procedure documents
- Detect software quality issues, report and track them to resolution
- Participate in the testing of production emergency bug fixes
- Provide second-tier functional help desk support to internal and external software users
- Actively participate in daily scrum meetings and bring up issues that create obstacles for QA
- Develop and maintain testing documentation, including test plans and test cases
- Collaborate with developers to identify and prioritize testing needs
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in technology, science, or mathematics-related majors or proven equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience with quality assurance methodologies for web applications
- Minimum 3 years of experience analyzing system and application failures and bugs
- Knowledge and experience with SDLC methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with requirements and specifications documentation
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter, detail-oriented, outgoing with excellent communications skills
- Experience with AzureDevops and/or TFS (Team Foundation Server) tools is preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience with test automation frameworks
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
- Certification in software testing or a related field
