About the Role
The Quality and Lean Leader at GE Vernova will play a pivotal role in driving the company's operational excellence strategy across the Fossil Americas Pole and Industrial Segment. This senior leadership position will be responsible for embedding safety, quality, and lean principles deep into all operations, leading a high-performing team of quality and lean professionals. The role will report to the SPS Business Operations Leader and the Fossil Americas Pole and Industrial Segment General Managers.The successful candidate will be a principled leader with a deep understanding of quality management, Kaizen, problem-solving, value stream optimization, and daily management. They will be able to drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, and cost, delivering measurable value to customers and shareholders alike.
As a key member of the team, the Quality and Lean Leader will be responsible for building deep expertise in GE Vernova's Quality and Lean tools, driving sustainable operational gains, and developing a high-performing Quality and Lean team.
What You Will Do
- Own and drive an integrated operational excellence strategy across the Fossil Americas Pole and Industrial Segment
- Embed Safety, Quality, and Lean principles deep into all operations
- Lead a high-performing team of Quality and Lean professionals
- Partner with EHS, Fossil Americas Pole and Industrial Segment teams, Steam Power Services, Gas Power, and supplier networks to align strategy and accelerate Value Stream performance
- Drive continuous improvement across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
- Develop and implement Built-in-Quality principles, Value Stream transformation, and structured problem-solving
- Coach and embed Leader Standard Work, Daily Management, and Kaizen practices across the Value Stream
- Own and drive Problem Solving and Corrective Action programs to deliver immediate fixes and long-term strategic improvements
- Serve as the face of Quality to customers, resolving issues swiftly, applying preventive actions, and building lasting trust through consistent responsiveness
- Apply Lean and Value Stream methodologies to drive SQDC improvements, standardize processes, and deliver measurable first-pass yield gains
What We Are Looking For
- A principled leader with a deep understanding of quality management, Kaizen, problem-solving, value stream optimization, and daily management
- A seasoned Quality and Lean professional with experience in driving operational excellence
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis and globally on a periodic basis
- Experience with Excel and other quality management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Experience in driving continuous improvement across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
- Knowledge of GE Vernova's Quality and Lean tools
Nice to Have
- Experience in the energy sector, particularly in fossil fuels or industrial segments
- Knowledge of Steam Power Services, Gas Power, and supplier networks
- Experience with Lean and Value Stream methodologies
- Certification in quality management, such as Six Sigma or ISO 9001
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
