About the Role

The Rakhine Interpreter position at LanguageLine Solutions is a unique opportunity for individuals who are fluent in Rakhine and English to work as independent contractors. What You Will Do

  • Respond to interpreting sessions promptly and conduct interpretation in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol.
  • Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation, enunciation, and polite expressions.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor throughout interpreting sessions.
  • Remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations.
  • Follow client instructions and comply with protocol to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Understand and use appropriate terminology and industry procedures.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple calls and potentially stressful situations.
  • Utilize Excel for data management and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Participate in ongoing training to improve skills and knowledge.
