About the Role

The RAVE I HD Maps position at Mapbox is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about location technology and data analysis. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for reviewing large volumes of data, creating content for map and navigation services, and analyzing satellite images to detect and mark various objects. Your work will contribute to the development of customized and immersive experiences for Mapbox's clients.

What You Will Do

  • Review large volumes of data to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Create content for map and navigation services, including data analysis and enrichment
  • Detect and mark various objects on satellite images according to specific requirements
  • Analyze and fix large volumes of data, including up to several tens of roads kilometers per week
  • Make cartographic edits and contribute to the enrichment of map data using specialized tools
  • Collaborate with the team to identify common patterns in large volumes of information
  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of traffic rules and driver behavior
  • Work closely with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
  • Utilize OpenStreetMap service and contribute to its development
  • Participate in team sprints and meetings to discuss project progress and goals

What We Are Looking For

  • Proficiency in English (A2+ level and above)
  • Ability to execute monotonous work with high personal efficiency
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to stay focused on repetitive tasks while maintaining high quality and accuracy
  • Logic and ability to reason and act independently
  • Experience working with GIS, cartography, or geodesy (preferred)
  • Understanding of OpenStreetMap service and interest in cartography
  • General knowledge of traffic rules and driver behavior
  • Ability to work in a team and possess high communicative skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills

Nice to Have

  • Driving license or completed driving school
  • Experience working in IT or completed IT courses
  • Interest in developing skills and expanding competencies within the working domain
  • Familiarity with specialized tools for cartographic edits and data analysis
  • Certification in data analysis or a related field
