About the Role

The Recovery Resolution Specialist role at Cotiviti is a critical part of the Yield Management team, responsible for facilitating the collection of funds for clients and maintaining exceptional provider relations. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a remote setting. The ideal candidate will be able to navigate complex collections processes, identify problems, and escalate issues to the appropriate parties. The Recovery Resolution Specialist will work closely with the audit team, payers, and providers to understand claims and concepts, and facilitate effective communication and collection. What You Will Do

  • Prepare collections letters in accordance with policy and ensure they are sent out to providers within established guidelines
  • Follow up on outstanding claims, contacting providers to verify receipt and obtain the status of any outstanding claims
  • Respond to correspondence, request additional information from providers, and prepare documents and other administrative tasks
  • Investigate claim disputes, identifying issues and escalating to the appropriate parties
  • Document activities utilizing established tools and systems, with increasing proficiency
  • Meet or exceed standards for productivity, maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency
  • Insure all department rules and processes are followed, alerting managers to system issues or other issues impacting productivity
  • Meet or exceed standards for quality, verifying completeness and accuracy of work
  • Alert managers to issues or concerns impacting the quality of work
  • Utilize proprietary reports, tools, and systems required to perform duties
  • Collaborate with the audit team, payers, and providers to facilitate effective communication and collection

What We Are Looking For

  • High school graduate or equivalent education
  • 1-3 years of prior collections or customer service experience required
  • Billing or coding experience preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Required knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to navigate complex collections processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet or exceed standards for productivity and quality

  • Experience with proprietary reports, tools, and systems
