About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Assist the Recreation Specialist in the day-to-day operation of recreational facilities and services.
  • Provide recreation services to authorized customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and execute fitness classes and programs, catering to a diverse range of interests and abilities.
  • Maintain the condition and inventory of equipment in each facility, ensuring all items are in good working order.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for tracking and issuing equipment to guests, minimizing loss and misuse.
  • Operate and maintain base movie theater equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Respond to customer feedback in a timely and professional manner, addressing comments and concerns with courtesy and respect.
  • Set up and break down equipment for various events and activities, including tables, chairs, music systems, and stages.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, sanitary, and healthy environment in all working facilities and areas, adhering to strict standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training program, flexible and adaptable to the needs of the team and the organization.
  • Ensure the proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor-provided property, including facilities, equipment, and tools.
  • Accurately complete time reporting procedures and maintain precise records, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
  • Operate a check-out/check-in system for athletic and recreation equipment, managing inventory and minimizing loss.
  • Organize, market, and facilitate outdoor recreational activities, such as hiking, fishing, and sporting events, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
  • Perform escort duties as required, providing a safe and secure environment for all participants.

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with one year of related experience or education.
  • Certification or willingness to receive certification to drive up to a 10K forklift.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles, with a valid driver's license.
  • Valid security clearance prior to deployment, with the ability to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Excel, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A minimum of two years of working experience in a recreational facility setting, with a proven track record of success.

  • Experience with audio and visual equipment, with the ability to operate and maintain complex systems.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR, with a strong focus on safety and emergency response.
