About the Role
The Regional Account Manager role at Fortinet is a key position that involves managing and driving direct sales engagements into mid-market accounts and strategic partners in the assigned territory of East Germany. As a regional account manager, you will be responsible for creating and implementing account plans focused on attaining deployments of Fortinet products and services. You will work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop executive relationships with key buyers and influencers.The role requires a strong understanding of Fortinet's technology and the ability to articulate the company's value proposition to decision-makers. You will be expected to negotiate terms of business with clients to achieve win-win results that provide the basis for strong ongoing relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling solutions to mid-size enterprise accounts and a consistent track record of quota achievement.
What You Will Do
- Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of Fortinet's technology to articulate the company's value proposition to decision-makers
- Manage and drive direct sales engagements into mid-market accounts and strategic partners in the assigned territory
- Create and implement account plans focused on attaining deployments of Fortinet products and services
- Develop executive relationships with key buyers and influencers and leverage these during the sales process
- Coordinate with internal groups to generate and deliver winning contract bids, proposals, RFI/RFP responses, and statements of work
- Negotiate terms of business with clients to achieve win-win results
- Generate business opportunities and manage the sales process through to closure of the sale
- Generate a sales pipeline, qualify opportunities, and accurately forecast pipeline
- Apply Excel skills to analyze sales data and performance metrics
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities

- Consistent track record of quota achievement and demonstrated career stability and growth
- Experience in closing large deals
- Excellent presentation skills to executive-level audiences

- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity solutions and the ability to articulate the company's value proposition
