Job Description

About the Role

The Regional Contract Manager plays a vital role in leading contract negotiations, managing commercial risk, and ensuring compliance across the deal lifecycle for energy projects at GE Vernova. This position requires a unique blend of technical, business, and legal expertise, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. As a key member of the team, the Regional Contract Manager will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Tax, Legal, Finance, Controllers, Operations, and EHS, to drive business growth and minimize risk.

The Regional Contract Manager will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating customer and partner contractual documents, including terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements, consortium agreements, and related declarations. This will involve assessing, managing, and documenting commercial risks to maintain an acceptable GE risk profile, using tools such as the Risk Assessment Matrix and Salesforce.

What You Will Do

  • Review, draft, and negotiate customer and partner contractual documents, including terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements, consortium agreements, and related declarations
  • Assess, manage, and document commercial risks to maintain an acceptable GE risk profile, using tools such as the Risk Assessment Matrix and Salesforce
  • Lead contract structuring and industrial/commercial models in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Own and strengthen commercial operations and risk governance processes, ensuring compliance with policies and consistent use of tools and metrics
  • Support sales and ITO teams in developing winning proposals, improving KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving mitigation strategies and change management initiatives
  • Provide end-to-end contractual support for large and complex projects, including execution start-up, subcontractor flow-downs, claims, disputes, insurance, variation orders, and general contract guidance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive business growth and minimize risk
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the energy sector, including industry trends, developments, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring compliance with GE policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement contract management processes and procedures, ensuring consistency and efficiency

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid experience in commercial operations, contract management, sales, risk mitigation, tendering, bid management, or project management
  • Proven ability to lead and close negotiations, with strong contract review and redlining experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Fluency in English, with French and Arabic being advantageous
  • Experience in the energy sector, including energy projects, power transmission, OEM, EPC, utilities, or other complex industries
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions
