Job Description

About the Role

The Regional HR Advisor will play a critical role in supporting Rippling's Employer of Record service, helping companies hire and manage employees globally. This involves guiding clients through the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, while addressing employee relations, claims, and compliance challenges. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine workflows for hiring, onboarding, and transitions, ensuring Rippling delivers a seamless, technology-driven HR solution.

As a key contributor to Rippling's growth in Latin America, the Regional HR Advisor will have a deep understanding of local labor laws, employment regulations, and cultural nuances. This expertise will enable them to develop and implement compliance-driven policies and procedures, mitigating risks and ensuring the delivery of accurate, efficient HR services.

The Regional HR Advisor will work closely with internal HR Advisors, providing training and coaching on country-specific requirements to ensure continuity and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of HR principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Draft and implement compliance-driven policies and detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) for leave management, performance management, investigations, claims, terminations, unemployment benefits, workers' compensation, and grievance investigations
  • Handle complex employee relations issues, including leave management, terminations, and other matters posing regulatory risks
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and compliance teams to configure and test workflows for hiring, onboarding, transitions, terminations, and statutory benefits
  • Respond to client and employee inquiries, develop programs and resources, and ensure the delivery of accurate, efficient HR services
  • Train and coach internal HR Advisors on country-specific requirements to ensure continuity and compliance
  • Design scalable, efficient processes that enhance the professionalization and delivery of HR services
  • Serve as the designated Power of Attorney (POA) for the legal entity/entities supported, with responsibilities including signing employee documentation and ensuring compliance with local employment regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as law firms and compliance experts, to stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and best practices

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of HR Advisory, consulting, or internal HR experience covering employment and labor law matters in a fast-paced organization, across the Latin America region
  • Deep knowledge of local labor laws, employment regulations, and cultural nuances in Latin America
  • Expertise in managing employee claims related to unemployment benefits, workers' compensation, and grievance investigations
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, including recruitment, talent management, and employee relations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with clients, employees, and external partners
  • Proficiency in Excel and other HR management tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with HR information systems (HRIS) and other HR management tools
  • Knowledge of Latin American employment laws and regulations, including labor codes and social security laws
  • Certification in HR, such as SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with proficiency in other Latin American languages a plus
