About the Role
The Regional Human Resources Business Partner at Rowan plays a pivotal role in supporting the company's mission to provide a fun, celebratory, and safe ear-piercing experience for everyone. As a strategic business partner, this professional will work closely with field management to navigate people matters, advance enterprise-wide growth objectives, and champion the company's culture, values, and practices. This remote-based position will provide dedicated HR guidance and support to an entire region of Rowan employees, ensuring a consistent and exceptional employee experience across the board.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, training, engagement, and compliance. They will be well-versed in company policies and benefits, and will serve as a regional HR compliance expert, developing deep knowledge of state and local workplace laws.
As part of the HR team, the Regional Human Resources Business Partner will contribute to maintaining Rowan's place as an employer of choice, prioritizing the well-being and growth of its employees. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting general HR functions, as well as a desire to continue growing HR skills.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a strategic business partner to the Regional General Manager, providing guidance on navigating and managing people matters
- Conduct thorough and timely investigations into employee concerns or policy violations, and recommend appropriate outcomes
- Develop and execute solutions to improve HR and operational compliance in partnership with cross-functional leaders
- Build strong relationships with field leadership through regular touchpoints to understand team dynamics, challenges, and opportunities
- Provide support to field teams in understanding and enforcing compliance with company policies and benefits
- Collaborate with other Regional HR Business Partners to proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Conduct compliance audits and provide recommendations and training to improve compliance with HR policies
- Support field HR communications, including policy changes, change management, organizational announcements, etc.
- Partner with Studio Managers and District Managers to ensure newly hired or promoted employees receive appropriate onboarding and training
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and annual review cycles
- Conduct HR training to field leadership, including but not limited to HR processes and procedures, employment laws, recruiting, etc.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience successfully supporting general HR functions
- Desire to continue growing HR skills and staying up-to-date with the latest HR trends, laws, and best practices
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance and employment laws
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Experience with HR systems, including HRIS and performance management software
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the company's mission, vision, and values
- Ability to build strong relationships with field leadership and employees at all levels
- Experience with training and development programs, including onboarding and career development
- Strong understanding of the nurse labor market and hiring trends for existing and new studios
Nice to Have
- Experience with recruitment and hiring processes, including interviewing and selection
- Knowledge of state and local workplace laws and regulations
- Certification in HR, such as SHRM-CP or PHR
- Experience with compliance audits and risk management
- Strong understanding of the company's culture and values, and ability to champion them in the field
