Job Description
About the Role
As a Regional In-House Counsel at Sartorius, you will play a critical role in providing strategic legal guidance to support business growth and minimize risks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. As a key member of the legal team, you will report to the Head of Legal Affairs, Americas, and collaborate with other Regional Counsel to advise stakeholders at all levels.The role requires a deep understanding of corporate law, contract negotiation, and compliance management. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, as well as providing training to internal teams on legal matters. Your expertise will be crucial in evaluating legal risk factors, providing practical guidance, and steering complex legal matters towards effective resolution.

What You Will Do
- Deliver timely and precise legal advice to minimize risks and support business objectives
- Oversee compliance with internal policies, relevant laws, and legal requirements
- Draft, review, and negotiate customer and supplier sale and service contracts
- Evaluate legal risk factors and provide practical guidance on strategic decisions
- Manage litigation and assist in the supervision and direction of outside counsel
- Provide training to internal teams on legal matters
- Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and support business growth
- Develop and implement effective contract management processes
- Negotiate and draft contracts with suppliers, customers, and partners
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws
What We Are Looking For
- Active membership in good standing with a state bar association on the East Coast
- Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate or commercial law
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish
- Strong drafting, communication, and negotiation skills
- High level of integrity, sound judgment, and analytical thinking
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle high and time-sensitive workload in a dynamic environment
- Experience with Puerto Rican commercial laws is a plus
- Strong understanding of contract law, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
