Job Description

About the Role

The Regional Manager role at Clearway Energy is a critical position that entails leading the operational performance, safety, and reliability of assigned wind generation assets. This role provides strategic and day-to-day leadership across operations, ensuring assets are optimized for performance, profitability, and compliance. The Regional Manager will report to the General Manager and work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with commercial agreements, risk mitigation strategies, and performance objectives.

As a key member of the team, the Regional Manager will be responsible for establishing and executing standardized operating procedures and a comprehensive risk management framework to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements. This will involve driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset efficiency, output, and profitability.

The Regional Manager will also oversee and optimize Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Maintenance Management Systems to support best-in-class operations. This will require a strong understanding of wind generation assets and the ability to lead internal teams and contractors, fostering a high-performance, accountable, and safety-focused culture.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the operational performance, safety, and reliability of assigned wind assets
  • Establish and execute standardized operating procedures and a comprehensive risk management framework
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset efficiency, output, and profitability
  • Oversee and optimize HSE and Maintenance Management Systems
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure alignment with commercial agreements, risk mitigation strategies, and performance objectives
  • Lead the management and negotiation of operational contracts, including service agreements and vendor relationships
  • Represent the company on joint venture and operating committees for co-owned assets
  • Provide leadership and direction to internal teams and contractors
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the renewable energy industry
  • Strong understanding of wind generation assets and operations
  • Experience in managing operational contracts and leading high-performance teams
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work remotely and travel approximately 50% of the time
  • Strong understanding of safety and compliance regulations
  • Experience with risk management frameworks and comprehensive operating procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or business administration
