About the Role
The Regional Property Manager position at The Scion Group is a strategic leadership role that demands a high level of expertise in property management, team building, and communication. As a key member of the team, you will oversee the staffing and recruitment of community team members, driving initiatives from corporate departments to community team members and executing accordingly. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing the operations of a portfolio of properties, assessing risk, creating strategies, and implementing successful solutions with your team.The Regional Property Manager is a vital part of The Scion Group's vision for student living, working closely with the Regional Vice President to achieve strategic objectives. You will be expected to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, collegiate environment, prioritizing leadership, teamwork, and effective communication. What You Will Do
- Oversee the staffing and recruitment, hiring, training, and development of all team members
- Drive initiatives from corporate departments to community team members and execute accordingly
- Visit assigned properties as required to perform property inspections, including review of curb appeal, safety standards, office and maintenance operations, capital improvements, risk management issues, and compliance
- Assess risk and create strategies to mitigate potential issues
- Implement successful solutions with your team, leveraging digital skills and technology to drive business outcomes
- Manage the operations of a portfolio of properties, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community team members, regional Vice Presidents, and other stakeholders
- Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance customer satisfaction and business outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to continuously improve the management of properties
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in property management, preferably in student housing
- Strong leadership and team building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Advanced digital skills, including proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk and create effective strategies
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or real estate
Nice to Have
- Experience with customer relationship management software
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements
- Certification in property management, such as CPM or ARM
- Experience with data analysis and reporting, including the ability to create and interpret complex reports
