Job Description

## About the Role As a Regional Safety Manager at Sunrun, you will be responsible for overseeing OSHA safety compliance and risk mitigation across a multi-state region. This strategic leadership role requires a deep understanding of OSHA regulations and the ability to leverage Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence to predict high-risk scenarios and drive a Goal Zero culture. You will be the primary architect for the region's data-driven safety strategy, working closely with Data Science and IT teams to implement AI tools that analyze historical safety data and identify leading indicators of risk.

The Regional Safety Manager role is critical to Sunrun's success, as the company continues to grow and expand its operations. As a leader in the safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA regulations and driving a culture of safety excellence across the region. This will involve collaborating with branch-level leadership and supervisors to interpret safety data, conduct effective safety visits, and lead morning huddles and site visits.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in occupational health and safety, as well as experience with data analysis and AI tools. You will be a strategic thinker, able to balance technical expertise with a modern, tech-forward approach to injury prevention. You will also be an effective communicator and leader, able to coach and mentor branch-level leadership and supervisors to drive safety excellence across the region.

## What You Will Do - Oversee OSHA safety compliance and risk mitigation across a multi-state region - Develop and implement a data-driven safety strategy, leveraging Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence - Partner with Data Science and IT teams to implement AI tools that analyze historical safety data and identify leading indicators of risk - Conduct internal audits and serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agency inspections or inquiries - Manage the accuracy and timely submission of OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs - Use AI-generated 'Heat Maps' and risk scores to direct regional Safety Supervisors and Managers to high-risk areas - Develop and track sophisticated Leading Indicators, such as S.A.F.E. visit quality and 'Good Catch' frequency - Manage regional safety dashboards in Tableau to provide real-time visibility into safety performance - Utilize data to identify systemic trends in 'Near Misses' and 'Good Catches,' developing targeted regional 'Safety Resets' - Coach and mentor branch-level leadership and supervisors on safety data interpretation and effective safety visits

## What We Are Looking For - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field - CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification highly desired - 5+ years of experience in safety management, with a focus on OSHA compliance and risk mitigation - Experience with data analysis and AI tools, such as Tableau and predictive modeling software - Strong technical background in occupational health and safety - Excellent communication and leadership skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

## Nice to Have - Experience with Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence - Knowledge of construction and general industry safety standards - Familiarity with solar or renewable energy industry - Experience with safety management software and tools - Certification in a related field, such as CEHT or CHST
