About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager position at Harley-Davidson is a critical role that involves overseeing sales and Finance & Insurance (F&I) products for a network of dealers. This is a remote, full-time position that requires frequent travel to visit dealers within an assigned geographic territory. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for fostering and developing new and existing relationships with key stakeholders among your dealers, driving established financial and non-financial targets, and maximizing business opportunities and revenue.

Day-to-day, you will be working closely with dealers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance their sales performance. This will involve conducting routine dealer visits, analyzing sales data, and implementing effective strategies to improve profit margins and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in F&I products and services will be essential in presenting and selling these solutions to dealers, ensuring they are equipped to succeed in a competitive market.

What You Will Do

  • Complete routine dealer visits to assess their needs and identify opportunities for growth
  • Track and review financial sales production, gross profit margin, and other key performance indicators
  • Meet with various department personnel to obtain critical information and facilitate debrief meetings
  • Lead and deliver dealer training as necessary to enhance their knowledge of F&I products and services
  • Analyze sales data and F&I process to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices
  • Develop a key understanding of the dealer’s needs and build a plan to support their short- and long-term goals
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the dealers, providing mentorship and role-play situational training
  • Acquire additional region and industry knowledge through continuing education and training opportunities
  • Liaise between all stakeholders, including finance and insurance product providers, Company departments, and the dealership network
  • Protect sensitive information and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies

What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of F&I products and services, including Retail Finance Programs, H-D Certified, and the H-D Protection Product suite
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze sales data and implement effective strategies to drive revenue growth
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

  • Previous experience working with dealers or in a field-based sales role
