About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager at Uponor is responsible for driving the company's sales growth in Canada, focusing on developing and executing sales strategies that align with the company's goals. This role involves leading a team of sales professionals, both direct and indirect, to achieve sales targets, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams such as marketing to ensure a cohesive approach to market penetration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Canadian market, particularly in the construction and wholesale distribution sectors, and be adept at utilizing tools like Salesforce to manage sales pipelines and forecast sales performance.

The role is fully remote, with the successful candidate expected to be based in the Greater Toronto area. What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve sales targets and grow Uponor's presence in the Canadian market.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to align sales efforts with company goals and objectives.
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage sales pipelines, forecast sales performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including owners/developers, general & mechanical contractors, specifying engineers, distributors, plumbing contractors, and builders.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with sales team members and manufacturer representative agencies to ensure alignment with sales targets and strategies.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential partnerships and expansion into new markets.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers to provide market insights and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, interview, select, and onboard new sales team members as needed.
  • Coordinate the collaboration between Uponor's direct and representative teams to achieve regional sales goals.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, marketing, or sales.
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales, preferably in the construction or wholesale distribution industry.
  • Proven track record of sales success, with experience in leading sales teams and developing sales strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce and Excel, with the ability to utilize these tools to manage sales pipelines and forecast sales performance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and sales skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing and coaching sales teams, with a focus on developing their skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously, with a high degree of self-motivation and discipline.

  • Experience in the independent manufacturer representative model.
