About the Role
The Regulatory and Inventory Operations Engineer plays a vital role in managing Twilio's global phone number inventory, ensuring that customers have access to the numbers they need while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is part of the Global Phone Number Operations team, which is a key component of Twilio's Super Network. The team's mission is to provide the infrastructure that catalogs, orchestrates, and delivers the world's connectivity.As a Regulatory and Inventory Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for managing daily functions that protect Twilio's supply chain of phone numbers. This includes ensuring that the company's supply of phone numbers meets customer demand without incurring undue inventory carrying costs. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure compliance with global phone number regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in configuring and operating various systems and software tools. You will be a domain expert on all things related to phone numbers, serving as a liaison between the Sales and Support teams to help customers navigate complex questions and projects.
What You Will Do
- Ensure that Twilio's supply of phone numbers meets customer demand without incurring undue inventory carrying costs
- Verify that customer-submitted KYC meets internal policies
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure compliance with global phone number regulations
- Serve as a domain expert on all things related to phone numbers, providing guidance to the Sales and Support teams
- Design and optimize new processes to ensure customers have an excellent experience with Twilio
- Communicate effectively through data, graphs, and visuals
- Collaborate with Twilio's Product and Engineering teams to troubleshoot technical problems with internal tooling and external product offerings
- Develop and maintain metrics to measure the performance of phone number inventory operations
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency
