About the Role

The Related Services Contractor serves as a vital link between teachers, staff, and service providers, coordinating therapy and related services for students. This role requires a unique blend of organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. As a key member of the team, you will ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.

In this position, you will work closely with various stakeholders, including teachers, staff, and service providers, to develop and maintain a statewide network of providers. Your expertise in Excel will be essential in managing databases, tracking student progress, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain a statewide network of providers within the private and public sectors
  • Negotiate rates with providers based on market value of services rendered
  • Establish contracts with service providers as necessary
  • Ensure existing contracts are compliant with current licensure and documentation
  • Maintain a current and accurate database of related services providers
  • Utilize the Related Service Manager (RSM) or other school databases to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of services
  • Ensure appropriate placement of students requiring related services within a timely manner
  • Track and maintain records of student progress, including evaluations and IEP documentation
  • Monitor school-level data and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Train stakeholders on the use of the Related Service Manager (RSM) and other school programs
  • Collaborate with the Business Manager and Special Programs Manager to verify and approve invoices

What We Are Looking For

  • Ability to problem-solve independently with a high level of organization
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with public or charter schools (preferred)
  • Knowledge of special education and related services (desired)
  • Experience with Medicaid billing (desired)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work independently and manage resources effectively
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and online platforms

Nice to Have

  • Experience with contract management and negotiation
  • Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding special education
