About the Role

The Relationship Manager - Credit Unions role at Experian is a pivotal position that involves building, retaining, and expanding long-term strategic client relationships. As a key member of the team, you will guide clients through the assessment, purchase, and implementation of Experian solutions, ensuring that these solutions align with their business and technical goals. Your primary focus will be on managing a defined portfolio of strategic accounts within the credit union sector, collaborating with internal teams to deliver value and outcomes for these clients.

The role of a Relationship Manager at Experian is multifaceted, requiring a deep understanding of the financial services sector, particularly credit unions, as well as the ability to navigate complex sales environments. You will be the primary contact for your client portfolio, managing daily interactions, coordinating support, and ensuring the seamless execution of contracted services. Your ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be crucial in guiding growth through multi-year renewals, upselling, and cross-selling within the financial services and related sectors.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Credit Unions, you will also engage with Experian North America's senior leadership to support mission-critical plans and deliver measurable success. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans that drive business growth and client satisfaction.

What You Will Do

  • Manage existing customer relationships to increase adoption, use, and growth of Experian's products and services, with a focus on Credit Services and Decision Analytics.
  • Support clients' strategic plans to ensure the execution of relevant Experian-supported projects.
  • Act as a business liaison between clients and internal departments, including dedicated Project Management and Client Success Teams, to ensure client satisfaction and measurable Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Educate clients on the latest Experian products and services relevant to customer-focused feedback and shared industry insight.
  • Participate in ongoing sales consultations to uncover the latest challenges and offer data-driven recommendations.
  • Partner with a team of subject matter experts, including sales consultants and engineers.
  • Conduct frequent communication with clients, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly status calls (virtual) and travel to client locations as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Client Executive partner to meet annual sales revenue targets, driven through client renewals and organic growth of existing accounts.
  • Manage the sales pipeline (Salesforce), revenue tracking, and forecasting to support team planning and financial reporting.
  • Negotiate complex client contracts for both standard and custom Experian products and services.
  • Define and own strategic account plans to unlock investments focused on clients' evolving goals.
  • Research and reach assigned client organizations to drive alignment through executive and daily influencers to meet dynamic strategic account plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to structure operational and strategic plans.
