About the Role

The Relationship Manager role at Experian is a critical position that requires a unique blend of sales acumen, technical expertise, and interpersonal skills. As a key member of the financial services team, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of strategic client relationships, driving sales revenue, and ensuring seamless execution of contracted services. Your day-to-day activities will involve guiding clients through the assessment, purchase, and implementation of Experian solutions, aligning our offerings with their business and technical goals.

You will be reporting to the Vice President, Preferred Midwest Region, and will also engage with Experian North America's senior leadership to support mission-critical plans and deliver measurable success.

What You Will Do

  • Manage daily client interactions, coordinate support, and ensure seamless execution of contracted services
  • Guide clients through the assessment, purchase, and implementation of Experian solutions, aligning our offerings with their business and technical goals
  • Exceed sales performance targets while collaborating with our teams to deliver value and outcomes for our clients
  • Focus on guiding growth through multi-year renewals, upselling, and cross-selling within the financial services and related sectors
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the financial services sector, including trends, challenges, and emerging opportunities
  • Educate clients on the latest Experian products and services relevant to customer-focused feedback and shared industry insight
  • Partner with a team of subject matter experts, including sales consultants and engineers
  • Manage sales pipeline (Salesforce), revenue tracking, and forecasting to support team weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual vertical/territory/account planning and associated financial reporting
  • Negotiate complex client contracts for both standard and custom Experian products and services
  • Define and own strategic account plans to unlock investments focused on client's evolving goals

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in building, retaining, and expanding long-term strategic client relationships in the financial services sector
  • Strong sales and account management skills, with a track record of driving revenue growth and exceeding targets
  • Expertise in Salesforce and ability to manage sales pipeline, revenue tracking, and forecasting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and senior leadership
  • Strong understanding of the financial services sector, including trends, challenges, and emerging opportunities
  • Ability to develop and maintain a deep understanding of Experian products and services, including credit services and decision analytics
  • Experience working in a remote or flexible work environment, with ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development
  • Knowledge of data-driven sales strategies and ability to leverage insights to inform sales approach
  • Certification in sales or account management, such as CSO or CMA
