About the Role
The Release Engineer - Data Plane will play a crucial role in the safe, continuous delivery of ClickHouse Cloud, a managed database platform. This position requires a unique blend of operational execution and software development skills.Responsibilities
- Plan and execute rolling upgrades across tens of thousands of ClickHouse clusters, ensuring minimal customer impact
- Own the full release pipeline, from pre-upgrade validation to post-upgrade monitoring and incident response
- Investigate and resolve production issues as part of a regular on-call rotation
- Build and improve internal tooling and automation for reliable and repeatable database operations
