About the Role

Holland America Line is seeking motivated and people-focused Outbound Personal Cruise Consultants to join their team. As a consultant, you will be responsible for helping guests plan unforgettable vacations from the comfort of your own home. As an Outbound Personal Cruise Consultant, you will be an integral part of the sales team, responsible for generating new leads, building relationships with existing customers, and identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell cruise packages.

What You Will Do

  • Respond to inbound inquiries and make outbound calls to potential customers to promote cruise packages
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to increase sales and customer loyalty
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through lead generation and prospecting
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and share best practices
  • Utilize CRM tools and software to manage customer interactions and sales data
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to stay ahead of the competition
  • Meet and exceed individual sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the sales team
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of cruise packages, itineraries, and promotions to effectively promote products to customers

What We Are Looking For

  • 1+ year of sales experience, with a preference for 3+ years of outbound sales experience
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced sales environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
  • Comfortable with computer systems, phone software, and CRM tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Driven, high-energy mindset with a desire to exceed sales targets and contribute to the team's success
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of self-motivation and discipline
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with a degree in sales, marketing, or a related field preferred

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in the travel or hospitality industry, with knowledge of cruise packages and itineraries
  • Familiarity with sales software and CRM tools, such as Salesforce or similar systems
  • Certification in sales or a related field, such as a CSP or CSS designation
