What You Will Do

  • Interview clients to understand their needs and create strategies for patent applications
  • Respond to USPTO Office Actions and draft responses to ensure the successful prosecution of patents
  • Draft top-notch U.S. patent applications for major technology companies
  • Conduct prior art searches to ensure the novelty and non-obviousness of inventions
  • Collaborate with a team of experts to achieve exceptional results
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of semiconductor patents
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to provide exceptional service
  • Participate in training and mentorship programs to continuously improve skills and knowledge
  • Analyze and interpret complex technical information to inform patent strategies
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure successful client relationships

What We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • Admission to at least one State (if attorney) and admission to the USPTO
  • At least 3+ years of top law firm patent prosecution experience in semiconductor matters
  • Excellent academics and industry or research credentials
  • Outstanding writing and verbal skills in English
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with patent prosecution software and tools
  • Knowledge of USPTO rules and regulations

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Excel and other productivity software
  • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques
  • Certification in patent law or a related field
  • Experience working with international clients and navigating global patent laws
