About the Role

The Research Administration Expert - AI Trainer position at Mercor is a unique opportunity to join a team at the forefront of AI research. As a key member of the research administration team, you will be responsible for building a realistic digital workspace, designing tasks, and collaborating with research teams to contribute to frontier AI research and benchmarking. Your day-to-day work will involve managing grants, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing administrative support to the research team. What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain a realistic digital workspace for research teams
  • Design and implement tasks to support AI research and benchmarking
  • Collaborate with research teams to contribute to frontier AI research and benchmarking
  • Manage grants and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide administrative support to the research team
  • Develop and implement processes to improve research efficiency and productivity

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of full-time experience in research administration, grants management, or a related field
  • Background in pre-award grants management, post-award financial/compliance management, sponsored-programs administration, or research compliance
  • Strong analytical thinking and writing skills
  • Experience with digital tools such as SharePoint, Box, DocuSign, Mendeley, EndNote, and ADP Workforce Now/UKG Pro
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Certifications in research administration or a related field (preferred)

  • Experience with AI research and technology
  • Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning concepts
