The Residential Real Estate Title Search Quality Control role is a critical component of Pippin Title's operations, ensuring the accuracy and quality of title reports for clients. As a key member of the search team, you will work closely with title searchers, customer service representatives, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality title products. What You Will Do

  • Analyze completed title searches for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client-specific SOPs
  • Examine and evaluate documentation, including deeds, mortgages, property taxes, and other records to determine ownership and encumbrances
  • Prepare reports outlining title-related matters, including chain of title analysis and defects in the chain of title
  • Review title records from outside abstractors and seek additional information when necessary for complete and proper examination
  • Synthesize title search information to prepare property reports and title commitments
  • Communicate with customers regarding important updates or clarifications, and receive and respond to order-related inquiries
  • Support the Customer Service team in resolving title-related issues and providing excellent customer service
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, best practices, and changes in state and local laws affecting title search and insurance
  • Collaborate with the search team to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and quality

What We Are Looking For

  • 1-4 years of experience as a title abstractor/examiner, including online search experience
  • Familiarity with various state guidelines and searching state, city, county, and school property tax jurisdictions online
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with title search software and technology, or the ability to quickly learn new systems
