About the Role
The Retail Store Associate role at Rowan is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. As a key member of the store team, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment, assisting customers with piercings and product recommendations, and maintaining the store's high standards of cleanliness and safety. You will work closely with the Studio Manager and other team members to achieve studio-wide goals and maintain a positive work environment.The role entails working in a fast-paced retail environment, interacting with customers, and providing exceptional service. You will be responsible for maintaining the store's visual displays, processing transactions, and assisting with inventory management. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and have a keen interest in jewelry and piercings, this role could be an ideal fit for you.
What You Will Do
- Greet customers warmly and create a celebratory environment
- Assist customers with ear piercings and provide product recommendations
- Maintain the store's high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Process transactions accurately, including sales, returns, and exchanges
- Assist with inventory management, including conducting regular stock checks and replenishing displays
- Maintain accurate customer records, including consent and waiver forms and aftercare instructions
- Work closely with the Studio Manager and other team members to achieve studio-wide goals
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve skills and product knowledge
- Support the team in maintaining a positive work environment
- Assist with visual displays and store maintenance
What We Are Looking For
- Retail or service industry experience
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong basic math skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for a full 8-hour shift
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of jewelry and piercings is an asset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Nice to Have
- Experience with POS systems and inventory management software
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in areas related to piercings and hygiene
- Certification in first aid or a related field
- Experience working in a retail environment with a focus on customer service
- Ability to speak multiple languages
