Job Description

About the Role

As a Revenue Analyst at Industrial Electric Manufacturing, you will play a critical role in driving strategic revenue decisions by analyzing revenue trends, identifying areas of improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing and maintaining accurate revenue forecasts, analyzing historical revenue trends, and identifying opportunities to optimize revenue performance. You will be part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, reporting to the VP of Commercial FP&A, and will work closely with the sales, operations, supply chain, and production teams.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain accurate revenue forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, factoring in manufacturing variables such as production capacity, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory levels.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the long-range revenue plan, ensuring alignment with manufacturing schedules and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Production) to gather data and insights for revenue projections.
  • Analyze historical revenue trends and the impact of production variances (e.g., downtime, material costs, labor changes) on future revenue forecasts.
  • Lead the annual and quarterly revenue planning process, aligning manufacturing forecasts with business objectives, operational capacity, and market demand.
  • Assist in the development of revenue targets based on product lines, manufacturing constraints, and expected market conditions.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and operations teams to adjust revenue expectations based on production schedules, supply chain issues, and product lifecycle stages.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue performance, product cost structures, and manufacturing efficiency to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop key metrics and financial models to assess the impact of production output, raw material costs, and labor efficiency on overall revenue performance.
  • Create and present regular revenue reports to senior management, highlighting key revenue drivers, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a revenue analyst or similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing product cost structures, product profitability, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis, including forecasting and budgeting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience with Excel, specifically with financial modeling and data analysis.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing planning systems and processes, such as ERP or MRP.
  • Certification in a related field, such as CMA or CPA.
  • Experience with project management tools, such as Asana or Trello.
