About the Role

The Revenue Cycle Liaison role is a critical component of MultiCare's financial management team, responsible for analyzing and resolving self pay accounts receivables issues. As a key liaison between vendors, managers, and internal stakeholders, you'll work to identify and address problems, develop solutions, and implement process improvements. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze self pay A/R and billing systems to identify issues and develop solutions
  • Serve as a liaison between vendors, managers, and internal stakeholders to resolve problems
  • Collaborate with IS&T Epic Application Analysts and vendor representatives to troubleshoot and implement process improvements
  • Develop and maintain reports to track key performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide training and support to staff members on billing and A/R procedures
  • Work with Patient Financial Services and Revenue Integrity to resolve complex billing issues
  • Collaborate with external payers to resolve payment discrepancies
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize revenue cycle operations

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of college or medical business school preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant healthcare billing experience with a background in research and analysis
  • 2+ years of computer experience or training, with proficiency in Epic systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Certification in medical billing or a related field (optional but preferred)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding principles
  • Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid regulations
  • Certification in revenue cycle management or a related field
