Job Description

About the Role

The Revenue Specialist, First Party Auto, plays a critical role in EnableComp's mission to improve financial sustainability for healthcare organizations. This position is responsible for investigating and analyzing Motor Vehicle Accident accounts to properly identify and coordinate insurance benefits and resolve outstanding balances for clients. By working closely with patients, insurance carriers, and internal teams, the successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate reimbursement, enhancing the overall revenue cycle management process.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting thorough research using proprietary software and online medical websites, as well as reviewing and submitting hospital claims to insurance companies. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct online medical research of Motor Vehicle Accident claim payments using EnableComp's proprietary software, systems, and tools.
  • Research, request, acquire, and review medical records, provider notes, explanation of benefits, and any other supporting documentation necessary for claim resolution.
  • Submit hospital claims to insurance companies to ensure prompt and correct reimbursement.
  • Conduct timely and thorough follow-up with payers to update the claim system with accurate information.
  • Prepare correct MVA billing packets using EnableComp's systems and tools, and submit them with necessary supporting documentation to insurance companies.
  • Communicate with patients or insurance adjusters via various mediums to discuss claim status and probability of timely resolution.
  • Review and understand payer EOBs to determine appropriate actions with claim balance after auto insurance claim resolution.
  • Maintain extreme privacy and security as it relates to confidential and proprietary information, adhering to EnableComp's Core Values, Vision, and Mission.

What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in the healthcare field, working in billing or collections, with a focus on Motor Vehicle Accident claims resolution.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and the ability to learn proprietary software.
  • Intermediate level understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and subsequent data requirements in relation to MVA and first party auto claims.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and processes.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Adjust and other revenue cycle management tools.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and coding principles.
  • Certification in medical billing or a related field.
