About the Role

The RIA Senior Specialist role at New York Life Insurance Co is a unique opportunity to work with a leading financial services company, leveraging your digital skills in a fully remote setup. As an RIA Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, handling incoming calls from financial advisors and their staff, and providing subject matter expertise on various investment products and services. You will be part of a team of over 90 investment professionals who act as an extension of the company's financial advisors' team, providing comprehensive investment advisory and financial planning capabilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with a company that has been in the industry for over 176 years. You will work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

What You Will Do

  • Handle incoming calls from financial advisors and their staff, providing product and account information, investment and account performance, and financial processing requests
  • Provide subject matter expertise on various investment products and services, including Weathscape and Envestnet platforms
  • Assist management in educating and training new staff members
  • Handle escalated cases from financial advisors, providing timely and effective solutions
  • Identify process improvements and work with management to implement solutions, increasing productivity and efficiency
  • Respond to inquiries from financial advisors, providing operational expertise and support
  • Collaborate with internal consultant and portfolio specialist teams, providing operational expertise and support
  • Work with business partners to ensure technology workflows are operating correctly and efficiently

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry
  • Series 7 licensure or subject matter expertise in specific Eagle core processing functions
  • Knowledge of the managed account industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong customer service skills and comfort with inbound and outbound calls
  • Schedule flexibility and strong work ethic

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Weathscape and Envestnet platforms
  • Knowledge of financial planning and investment advisory services
