About the Role

As a Risk Analyst at Wex, you will play a vital role in identifying and mitigating potential risks to the company's operations. This will involve analyzing complex data sets, identifying areas of vulnerability, and implementing effective risk-reduction strategies. You will be part of the Information Technology Service Management group, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the company's risk management processes are robust and effective.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze complex data sets to identify areas of potential risk and vulnerability
  • Develop and implement effective risk-reduction strategies, including the creation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Utilize Excel and Google Sheets to analyze and present data, providing actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and compliance, to ensure a comprehensive approach to risk management
  • Identify and prioritize areas for process improvement, developing and implementing solutions to enhance the company's risk management capabilities
  • Develop and maintain team process documentation, ensuring it is current and accurate
  • Facilitate recurring operational processes, including user access reviews and segregation of duties monitoring
  • Gather and transform data into required formats, submitting it to managers and application owners for certification
  • Identify outdated or no longer necessary entitlements, requesting removal as necessary
  • Provide guidance to business and technology control and application owners on access management best practices

What We Are Looking For

  • Highly proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify areas of risk
  • Understanding of identity and access management concepts and tools, including IAM tooling such as Sailpoint or Okta
  • Experience with scripting languages, including PowerShell, Java, and JavaScript
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees of all levels of the organization
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • High proficiency in English written and verbal communication

Nice to Have

  • Experience with h​AD, LDAP, and other identity and access management tools
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including compliance and risk management frameworks
  • Experience with automation tools, including scheduling, scripting, and macros
