About the Role

As a Risk & Control Health Data Analyst at Stripe, you will be part of the Risk & Controls Oversight function, playing a critical role in defining and scaling the company's approach to control assurance through data analytics, reusable testing capabilities, and technology-enabled workflows. This role is focused on building leverage, not just executing point-in-time testing, and will help design the analytical infrastructure, testing library, and operating model that enable Stripe to evaluate control effectiveness with greater consistency, depth, and scalability.

The role entails working closely with cross-functional teams to improve control measurability, testability, and ongoing assurance coverage. You will help shape a more agentic assurance model by building workflows that combine structured data, repeatable test logic, and AI-enabled tools to improve how compliance testing is executed and maintained over time.

What You Will Do

  • Define and scale a data-driven approach to compliance control assurance across an expanding product, partner, and regulatory landscape
  • Build the foundational analytical infrastructure used to evaluate control effectiveness, including datasets, evidences, metrics, and monitoring logic
  • Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and reporting that give stakeholders clear visibility into control health, testing coverage, and assurance outcomes
  • Create reusable analytical frameworks that enable more consistent and scalable testing across different controls, obligations, and operating environments
  • Translate complex technical implementations into clear testing logic and measurable assurance outcomes
  • Conduct rigorous testing of technical and operational controls using data analysis, system evidence, and structured testing methodologies
  • Evaluate whether controls are designed and operating effectively, identify deficiencies, and assess downstream compliance risk
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve control measurability, testability, and ongoing assurance coverage
  • Deliver reporting on test outputs to key compliance and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Clearly communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

What We Are Looking For

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Experience in data-driven control assurance and program development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting tools

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI-enabled tools for compliance testing and assurance
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL
  • Certification in risk management or compliance, such as CRISC or CCEP
  • Experience working in the financial technology sector
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies

Benefits and Perks
