About the Role
The Risk & Control Health Data Analyst role at Stripe is a critical position that entails assessing and mitigating risks across the organization. As a key member of the Risk & Control Health team, you will be responsible for conducting technical assessments of Stripe's risk and control environment, developing data-driven insights, and creating dynamic dashboards to represent risk and control health. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your technical skills in data analysis and risk assessment to drive impactful improvements in Stripe's risk and control environment.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks, developing and implementing metrics to measure risk and control effectiveness, and communicating complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and methodologies in risk assessment and data analysis, as well as Stripe's product and business expansion.
The Risk & Control Health team is a critical component of Stripe's compliance and risk management function, and this role will play a key part in ensuring that the company maintains robust risk management and compliance practices. You will be working closely with the compliance and risk management teams to identify and mitigate risks, and will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve risk and control effectiveness.
What You Will Do
- Conduct technical assessments of Stripe's risk and control environment
- Develop data-driven insights and create dynamic dashboards to represent risk and control health
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess risks
- Develop and implement metrics to measure risk and control effectiveness
- Communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and methodologies in risk assessment and data analysis
- Stay informed about Stripe's product and business expansion
- Identify and mitigate risks across the organization

- Deliver reporting on test outputs to key compliance and cross-functional stakeholders
- Contribute to Top Risk Reporting, providing data-driven insights on critical risk areas
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, or a related field, preferably in the fintech or financial services sector
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in data analysis, SQL, and comfort working with LLM and AI technologies
- Experience in designing and developing metrics that effectively communicate risk and control narratives, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Experience with data visualization tools and creating dynamic dashboards
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and methodologies in risk assessment and data analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Experience with risk and control frameworks, such as COSO or NIST
