About the Role
The Senior Technology Architect will play a pivotal role in Rubicon Path's Secure Solutions Design Unit, leading the design and implementation of enterprise network security solutions, including repeatable cloud security patterns and models. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to align network security services with business objectives. The successful candidate will have experience in developing and implementing technical security architectures, with a strong focus on cloud and on-premise security domains.The Technology Architect will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise and guidance on implementation and continued improvements to the Ontario Government's Secure Access Service Edge and VPN. This includes leading network security-specific security pattern development and design improvements, as well as architecture and iterative design support for the Palo Alto Prisma suite.
As a key member of the Secure Solutions Design Unit, the Senior Technology Architect will bring specialized skills, knowledge, and industry best practices in cloud and on-premise security domains, application architecture, networking, and security operations.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise network security solutions, including repeatable cloud security patterns and models
- Develop and implement network security-specific security patterns and design improvements
- Provide architecture and iterative design support for the Ontario Government Secure Access Service Edge and VPN
- Offer subject matter expertise and guidance on implementation and continued improvements to align network security services with business objectives
- Lead the development of technical security architectures for large, distributed multi-cloud environments
- Identify relevant information and determine the environment for solution development
- Provide program oversight and technical guidance to security and technology teams working on security process improvements and deployment & configuration of security platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement cloud applications
- Develop, recommend, implement, and manage the security/technical architecture for specific applications
- Work closely with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of security solutions
What We Are Looking For
- Advanced knowledge and experience with network security technology, including Palo Alto Prisma Access, Radware Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
- Experience working with at least two cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large, secure solution environments
- Knowledge and experience designing processes around ITIL
- Experience translating business requirements into solution needs
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Experience with agile project delivery methodologies
- Proficiency in Excel and other productivity tools
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud infrastructure network architecture, including cloud security groups and network access control lists
- Knowledge of emerging technologies, trends, and directions in cloud security
- Experience with firewall policy management and cloud access security
- Certification in cloud security or a related field
